Service Event - Buffalo
The Buffalo Chapter is recruiting volunteers to help at Buffalo ReUse on Saturday, April 26 beginning at 9:00 am. Buffalo ReUse is a licensed demolition contractor in the City of Buffalo, specializing in deconstruction. Buffalo ReUSE saves an extensive amount of material when deconstructing abandoned buildings such as residential structures, barns and garages. On their first house, they salvaged over six tons of reusable lumber, as well as doors, windows, foundation stone, and more! Many materials which can’t be reused can often be recycled, such as metals, clean waste wood, and concrete. They are currently conducting research to determine the feasibility of recycling asphalt shingles, vinyl siding and gypsum board.
Email chapter president Chris Werely '02 if you would like to participate.
