2008 Mini Reunions

2008 Mini-reunions

35 Years of The Society of Women Engineers
Clarkson University established the first chapter of SWE in New York State on October 1, 1973. The chapter received 15 national awards, including being selected as the best chapter in the United States several times. Currently SWE remains a vibrant student organization at Clarkson including hosting activities from outreach to young girls K-12 to networking and career preparation for campus students.  All members are invited back to Clarkson to commemorate this exciting milestone. Please contact Stephanie Schuckers with any questions at sschucke@clarkson.edu.

The Clarkson School Turns 30!
This summer The Clarkson School celebrates 30 years by inviting all former graduates back to campus for the fun and festivities surrounding this special event. Held in conjunction with the University Reunion, the TCS 30th Anniversary kicks off with a welcome reception on Friday, July 11th, and all alumni are invited to a Reunion Banquet on Saturday night, July 12th. For a complete listing of events and times, and to hear what your fellow graduates are up to, please see the complete Reunion schedule and check out TCS's alumni pages.

Army ROTC
This year we are proud to announce our first annual Army ROTC Hall of Fame Induction and Barbeque.  In 1996 Clarkson celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Army ROTC.  On that occasion, Captain Timothy L. Mulligan and LT James D. Lynch were inducted into the Army ROTC Hall of Fame.  The Army invites you to stop by the Army ROTC House at 49 Elm Street on Saturday, July 12, from 1200 to 1400 hours to celebrate the beginning of a new tradition.  See what the “Golden Knight Battalion” has been up to lately, share some Army stories and meet some of the current cadre (at least the ones that aren’t at Advanced Camp).  Whether you’re “Be all you can be”, an “Army of One”, or are currently “Army Strong”, we hope to see you at the “RO” house.

WCKN
WCKN is hosting a dinner for its alumni on Saturday July 12. Come to catch up with old friends and meet fellow alumni and current WCKN members. After dinner we will hold an alumni meeting to discuss WCKN events and the future of the station. We are also offering a tou of the station; come see how it has evolved and what is planned for the future of the chicken!

Sigma Delta Fraternity Reunion 2008
After 104 years, Sigma Delta is at a turning point in its history.  To celebrate our history and to communicate plans for the future, the Sigma Delta Governance Board will host a summer reunion in Potsdam during the Clarkson Alumni Reunion, July 10-13.  In conjunction with this event, the Golf Committee will host the 4th Annual Sigma Delta Golf Classic with rounds on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.  The Golf Classic has seen attendance in excess of 60 alumni in the past and many alumni and current members have already committed to the trip and are making plans.  This is a great opportunity to catch up with your pledge brothers and brothers from your time at the house, and to hear the message from the Governance Board, regarding the future of the fraternity.
A great turnout is expected, given the event location, timing with Clarkson’s Alumni Weekend, and partnership with the Annual Golf Classic.  Come up to see the house and enjoy the events!  For a complete list of activities and to register for the event, please see the registration form. Please email sigmadeltagolfclassic@gmail.com with questions.

Women's Hockey
There is reason to celebrate! Our Clarkson Golden Knights have been nationally ranked in the top 10 for the majority of the season! Let’s get together to support our women’s team and celebrate women’s hockey at Clarkson with a mini-reunion during Alumni Reunion Weekend. The weekend will include a women’s alumnae hockey game on Saturday at 1 pm, immediately followed by a gathering and dinner at Coach Seeley’s house.

Men's Hockey
Good times with former teammates and a round of golf will make for an enjoyable weekend when the Clarkson University Men’s Hockey team holds their annual summer reunion from July 11-13.  Many past and present Golden Knights will make the trip back to Potsdam to celebrate memories from the glory days.  This is a great time to swap stories, catch up with old teammates and meet our current players and coaches. Sit back and enjoy the festivities!

Athletic Hall of Fame Induction
Six outstanding student-athletes, a legendary coach and a renowned benefactor of Golden Knights Athletics will be inducted into the Clarkson University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, July 11during the University’s annual Summer Reunion.  The Clarkson Athletic Hall of Fame was established at the University to recognize those individuals, who either through participation, support, or interest, have made outstanding contributions to Clarkson Athletics, and who have helped bring recognition, honor and distinction to the University.
