Stay Involved

It is always a great time to be a Golden Knight. While the visit from Governor Eliot Spitzer marked the groundbreaking for the Clarkson University Technology Advancement Center in early fall, the celebration of “Egon’s Day” on October 18 brought four notable speakers along with friends and family back to the University. We had an exciting season of Clarkson hockey, which kicked off on October 7. You can follow the Golden Knights wherever you live, and enjoy Clarkson victories in great company at a Clarkson hockey post-game party near you.

Clarkson is also garnering national attention, recently moving up 30 spots in the Washington Monthly Annual College Guide. Clarkson was ranked 70th overall and fifth out of 242 universities for the percentage of its students serving in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC).

On the research front, the U.S. Department of Education awarded Clarkson a Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement grant totaling  $1.1 million over five years. The grant will help continue the McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program to increase the attainment of Ph.D. degrees by underrepresented student groups in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

With so much happening at Clarkson, we hope you’ll take advantage of all the opportunities to stay involved.
