Motivated and Enterprising:  The placement stats of Clarkson Business School graduates are consistently among the nation’s highest for starting salaries (over $50,000 last year) and our alumni successfully compete head to head with ivy-educated counterparts to lead global companies. One in five alumni over the age of 40 is already a chief executive or another senior executive of a corporation.

School of Business

New Times. Fresh Thinkers.

We are different.  Why?  For starters, it's in our genes. Our university culture encourages spanning boundaries, innovation and pushing the status quo.  More importantly, however, business has changed since most business schools set their curriculum.  We defy convention by blending traditional disciplines into powerful combinations that give you greater breadth and deep cross training of skills that will carry you for life.  Our students successfully compete for the best jobs right out of college and parlay their experiences into careers that are leading the next generation of business.   One in seven alumni is already a CEO or senior executive of a company.

We collaborate closely with leading international employers and align our programs to the marketplace to prepare our graduates for the careers and future of the fast-paced global economy.  Think fresh and relevant.  We are not stuck in the past offering majors and courses that silo your education into just accounting, operations management, marketing or finance.  Instead, our graduates learn business by doing business and try out first hand the different roles that all members of a corporate team will experience.   In the first weeks on campus, students enrolled in a general business curriculum begin starting and running businesses, planning their overseas component of their education and networking with business leaders and alumni who bring perspective to everything you're learning.  Students starting in their sophomore year are exposed to SAP, the world's leading enterprise resource planning software.  Later on in their coursework, they use this software in their Supply Chain, HR, and Marketing classes.

All business majors also participate in a study abroad experience -- either a full semester at one of our numerous exchange institutions, or a shorter trip on one our faculty-led programs.  Beyond being fun and culturally enriching, recent graduates report that the stories and lessons gained from these experiences are influential factors in their job interviews and early career success.
