Finances and Costs
Students in the study abroad exchange program pay tuition to Clarkson and pay room and board directly to the exchange university. Make sure to budget for additional costs such as fees for passports and visas, airfare, entertainment and travel expenses. Costs can vary depending on the location, currency exchange rate, and the amount of traveling that a student plans.
If you attend one of Clarkson’s exchange partner universities, you will continue to receive financial aid, which is applied to your account as if you were attending Clarkson. After your financial aid is applied to your tuition, you can request any credit balance for use toward the room, board and other fees at the exchange partner university. Please meet with the director of financial aid to go through the details and requirements of this process.
