Tuition & Accommodations
The annual tuition for either the Horizons I or Horizons II program is $450 which includes housing, food, all instructional materials, and costs for any field trips. Travel to and from the program is not included in the tuition. When the applicant receives the letter of acceptance , a $100 nonrefundable deposit will be due. The $350 balance is required to arrive at Clarkson prior to the start of the program to secure the candidate's slot.
Horizons III tuition is $600 with a $100 deposit due upon acceptance to the program.
No refunds will be made after June 1, except in the event of an emergency as agreed upon between the parent/guardian and the program. Schools and agencies who indicate they are covering tuition for an accepted student should fill out the Vendor Payment Form to arrange payment. They may not need to meet the announced pre-program deadline.
Wait-listed applicants who move to active status will be notified on or about June 1 and will receive available unpaid slots. Full tuition is required upon notification of acceptance.
Participants reside (two in a room) in a Clarkson University dormitory, located in Potsdam, N.Y. The Program Director and program assistants live on the dormitory floors with the participants. Meals, classes and recreation are held in Clarkson facilities.
